Dog temperaments

Knowing your dog’s temperament can be very useful. It can help you understand your dog better, train it more easily, understand what situations your dog can cope with and how it will react in different circumstances.
What we can also do is help you choose which dog is best for the purpose you want it for. So if you were looking for a sheep dog, police dog, military dog, guide dog, therapy dog, a dog that will like to be trained or a dog that will be happy lazing around the house then we can analyse it’s temperament to see if the temperament of the dog will suit it’s destiny.
Your dog’s behaviour is an expression of their temperament traits. Understanding their temperament type is key to how you can influence and shape their behaviour.
The temperament of your dog has a lot to do with how your dog behaves, and it’s critical to successful dog training and stopping dog problems.
Knowing the temperament of a dog could be useful if you trying to decide between dogs that you have seen or maybe a dog has had puppies and you want to keep only some of the litter. Then you could have all the temperaments of the puppies analysed and keep the puppies that will be the best for your purpose. This could be the situation with dogs on farms where not all the litter will be needed to stay at the farm.

Horse temperament
A horse’s temperament is a crucial factor when buying or owning a horse. What you have destined the horse to do determines the best temperament that you require and that will lead to a more gratifying experience with the horse.
Typically, there are no good or bad horse temperaments. Each temperament is best adapted for a particular usage. Therefore, based on the temperament, certain horses will be the best for particular tasks, such as dressage, racing, show jumping, police horses or cavalry horses . Other horses will be better suited for specific riders, such as beginners or experts.
For instance, horses that are easily spooked are the best for experienced riders looking for a top quality performer. These horses move quickly and have a higher tactile sensitivity.
However, a horse for a beginner should have lower tactile sensitivity. The horse should also be less influenced and react slower to sudden or new circumstances. The horse should also not get jumpy when separated from other horses. Horses of this temperament are easier to ride, handle, or harness.
So as explained it is best to know the temperament of the horse you own or are looking to own. It can help you train them and with your relationship with your horse.
We can analyse the temperament of a horse so that you can decide what the horse is best adapted for, or we can check whether the destiny of the horse you are looking to own will match it’s temperament.
